Well, last Thursday I turned 21. Yup, 21 years old. I can’t say it was too terribly exciting. It was just like any other day, except when I was picked up from work I was greeted by my ride (my mother … yes she drives me to work) and a pair of cheesy balloons hanging out the side of the car. But, however embarrassed I was it could not have been that bad. I just really hate things like. I guess I like attention, like many do, but not like that. But, the next day we went to downtown Minneapolis and had a great dinner at Morton’s of Chicago. The food was great and it was good times to sit and eat dinner for 2 hours. Speaking of dinner…

Earlier in the week, I can’t remember the day; I was having dinner at Pickled Parrot with my dad, my brother and one of his friends. Things were fine… until the server showed up. She began to pour water, like they usually do when they 1st come to the table, when she got to filling my glass (the last one) the caught the bottom of the glass in another glass. This lead to a chain reaction of water being poured all over the table and funneling right into my lap. Yup, and entire large glass of water (at least 20oz) was all in my lap. I had shorts on, so it wasn’t too bad. However, I was completely soaked and the waitress asked if everything was ok. I responded with… “It could be better.. I’m a little wet here.” I had a hat on backwards and I must have looked like Satan himself, cuz I was not happy at all at this point. We stayed for dinner and I sat on my napkin to try to soak out the massive amounts of water that had soaked into my shorts. Anyways, the poor waitress tried to make a joke of it the entire time we were there and no one laughed or thought it was funny. I would have thought that since she kinda discomforted a guest that she would comp something, a drink, an appetizer, something… she did none of this. I guess I am picky about service and I can’t really say that I was impressed with her level of service. So, I guess as a consumer I will be moving on to other places to eat. Meh, the best part was when I had to get up. Imagine pissing yourself down one leg and having it all over your pants. That is pretty much what it was like when I left… I had one half dark green shorts and one half light green shorts… It was like sitting in a wet swimsuit for an hour but without the mesh. Oh well, it’s over…

Anyways, this is my last week of work until I take my week of vacation for the summer. I will be working the Eden Prairie Band Camp again this summer. The best part is that I get paid more for the week here then I do while working at SV (however, it’s not much more, hehe). I’ll be running the Olympics again this year, just like last year. But I will not be doing Dorm Assistant. So, my responsibilities are for around 3hours a day… a 1 hour staff meeting and the 2 hours for Olympics. Ah, it will be nice. Hopefully the weather is nice.

That’s pretty much all I can think of for now… back to doing whatever it was that I was doing.
