Last night was, well, how should I put it? Ah, yes. Amazing.
I knew that Eric Clapton was a God on the guitar, but damn, last night he just blew me away. He just put himself somewhere in my mind that not many musicians go and he is there with good company. For 2 hours he rocked Key Arena and I was just amazed. I can’t say that enough. He played a very balanced mix of the old stuff as well has some of his new material.

Last night I went to see the Bourne Supremacy at Majestic Bay with the Info Crew. I was really looking forward to seeing this movie because it looked really good in the trailers and the end of Identity just lent itself to this movie.
We didn’t have the best of seats in the theatre (3rd row), so the movie was quite shaky throughout. But, the storyline of this movie added a lot to where the first movie left off. So, for me, it was worth seeing and I would recommend it to anyone.
I would usually have more of a review on this but I just want to end by saying this: Go see it. It’s that simple.
The past weekend was pretty good. It was my birthday so it had to be, right? Of course.
Friday night was spent with a faction of the Info Crew watching the Bourne Identity and just hanging out at my place soaking up every ounce of air conditioning that we could since it was so blasted hot outside that day. It was good times, as usual.
Saturday was my birthday and what a better way to spend it than by going to work! Right… ok, I had my normal Saturday shift at the lab and then it was off to Rock Bottom Brewery for some dinner fun with the Info Crew. Dinner was to celebrate the birthdays of Kevin, Kat, and myself since all of our birthdays are within a week of each other. Dinner was cool and it has been a while since I had seen all of the faces in one sitting. Good times despite Anthony looking up every girl that came up the stairs in front of him. I am sure that I have some great pics on my camera. Using Jamie and I as decoys was all apart of his plan. Now, it didn’t help either that there was a table of girls next to us that he swears was there for a sorority meeting. Oh, Anthony.
Then we thought it would be a good idea to go see the Bourne Supremacy. Well, it was a good idea until we got to the theatre to see that the next two showings were sold out. I was kinda bummed because I wanted to see it, but the night pressed on without the movie.
After the movie fell through it was back to my place for some mafia, cranium, and texas hold ‘em. Again, nice to just chill, but come midnight I was just beat and wanted to go to bed. So, it was off to sleep…
Sunday was time spent with my lady. From lunch of Velveeta Shells and Cheese, ‘Lil Smokies, and Rice (if your name is Jamie) to walking around downtown it was a good day. Very relaxing and just what I needed.
It was definitely a good weekend, now I just need to catch up on some sleep, I am dying here at the lab right now.

Dang, I’m getting older today…
Yesterday I began my two summer classes. Both of my classes, MUSIC 117 and SCAND 367, look to be pretty good. I was looking forward to finally being able to take classes, but at the same time I was wishing that I still had the free time that I was accustomed to during A Term. But, the advantage is I will not really have much homework to do at home. I work 18 hours a week and I anticipate that I will be able to get most of the studying done while I am at work.
Speaking of work… I now open 3 days a week. This is the first time that I have been scheduled to open and I don’t know what to think about it. Last night was an exception, I think, when I went to bed at 10pm. For some reason I just don’t see myself going to sleep that early every night before the days I open. But, then again, I could be mistaken.
In any case, it is a nice change of pace and I think that I will enjoy it. There are still some things that I want to read and accomplish this summer, so I will have to see how much of that I can get done before the summer is over.
Now it is back to doing… I really have no idea. I’m done studying for today.
