I’m kinda torn, being a Vet myself. On one hand, I realize the need for the country’s millitary to recruit people in order to have enough people to accomplish thier mission(s). OTOH, such aggressive recruiting is clearly as sign (that’s assuming that this tale is indicative versus anectodal) could be a sign that the more combaitive branches of the millitary are getting desperate to shore up thier ranks and obliviate the need for thier backdoor-draft “stop-loss” policies. All this is intereseting b/c according to today’s P.I., the Army and Marines are falling short of thier quotas, while the Navy and Air Force are trying to get rid of people.

Interesting, I didn’t know about that last fact. I knew that the Army was down, but I didn’t realize that the Navy and Air Force have too many.
