Figure it’s about time for my two week update. I know you’re all just dying to know what I’ve been up to. If I was me, I’d want to know too. Er, or something… right?
I’ve booked my tickets for my trip home to Minnesota for Thanksgiving. It should be good times heading home and seeing some old faces and to eat some good food. It is always a good time to go home and I’ll also be getting a four day vacation out of it too. So, what a deal!
I am also getting close to being finished, or rolled off, my current project. I have 24 hours left this week and I’ll be officially rolled off. The remainder of my time is in training and working on my little WinForms side project.
As the project goes, its been a great experience and I’ve learned a lot in a bunch of different areas. The big thing now is to apply that knowledge and gain new experiences in the next project. However, where that project is could be anybody’s guess at this moment. One day I was lined up to be on one project, then another, and now I’m being shopped around. Hopefully before Friday I’ll know what’s up. Also, speaking of work, I have my performance review on Tuesday. Don’t know what to expect, but we’ll see how it goes.
Outside of work my time is spent relaxing away from the computer as much as I can. Which is evident by the lack of activity on this blog and on my Flickr. But, in completely unrelated news, I’ve been trying to stay healthy. Yes, a novel idea, and a completely obvious one at that, but it sure is nice to not be sick. I had a week where I fought off a cold with some DayQuil, NyQuil, and three of those Odwalla C Monsters. Five days later and I was back to 100%. I’m sure the night I went to bed at like 8pm helped a bit. I’m just glad I didn’t get really sick and crummy.
Other than that, it’s pretty much the same as usual. Hanging out with friends, time with my shortie Jamie, relaxing, etc.. Oh, ya, forgot to mention my roommate is back from Korea. No, it’s not really strange to have him back. Yes, his company is welcomed. It’s just like it was before he left. Except he’s still in school and I’m not.
So, that’s the executive summary of my life for the past couple of weeks. The full detailed report can be had by calling my cell phone and hanging out. I know there are a few of you out there I haven’t seen in some time and that I need to give a call. So, until later… just hopefully not two weeks later.
