WaMu Unavailable
Thursday, July 27th, 2006I’ve tried a couple of times today to pay my bills on line at wamu.com, but every time I try, I am getting an error and I can’t. It is beyond frustrating. I can understand if the site is down outside of business hours (or peak hours), but I would imagine (and I only speculate here) that when the sun is up the most people are making transactions on line. I have a rent check to mail and association dues to pay and I need this service to be up. I’ll check back again tonight, but I shouldn’t have to. It should have worked the first time.

I understand 100%. I can’t say much, but I will say they are working on improving this. Before I left wamu for Google I started on a project to get back to 99.99% uptime. I have a feeling some of the down time right now may be due to building out the infrastructure to do this. I know brining the site down may not be the ideal way to do this, but it may need to be done for the long term good.

Yea, I understand thei need to upgrade thier infastructure. I can relate to why that needs to happen and how it gets done. I guess I just wish they did not do it during their prime time. But, you are right, I think that this is for the long term good.
