Minor Site Changes

Well, I finally caved in. I have made the decision to remove /blog from all things on this site when it comes to posts. You will still see that the directory is active, only because it houses images. Currently, I am using .htaccess rules to have a seamless transition on those parts of the site. So, what does this mean for you? Well, I will be removing all of the feeds from /blog. I know that many of you on bloglines use this for your feed. But, come the end of June I will be completely removing the .htaccess forward for this feed. In short, it will 404 and stop working. So, update your feed/bookmark to the new address today!

  • Site: http://www.lazyi.net/
  • RSS: http://www.lazyi.net/feed/

Also, my permalink structure has removed the /blog from all of them as well. I’ll be tweaking the .htaccess to break all of those posts that you’ve so kindly linked in the past. However, have no fear! I hope to implement the search page to try to find the post if somebody comes to the site and the page is not found. When that will get done, who knows. But, it’s on my list of things to do.

So, in the meantime I say thanks for being patient while I clean house and flesh out my permanent structure for my site.

Remember to Read the Label

Tonight I headed to Safeway to pickup some sandwich stuff for the upcoming work week with Jamie. Before I left, I asked Kony if he needed anything. He said that he needed some more cottage cheese. I thought, alright, easy enough to get. Off to Safeway I go.

Once I got there I didn’t know where I could find the cottage cheese. That was until I found the refrigator that had a big sign on it that said “cottage cheese”. So, I open up the door and grab the largest one that I could find, per his request. However, I didn’t know what kind he wanted, so I hesitated to grab the fat free one and opted to get one that had more fat in it.

When I get home he finds the cottage cheese in the fridge. However, what he reads on the label is that it is sour cream and not cottage cheese. Doh! I grabbed the wong thing. I swear it was in the door that said cottage cheese! Honest! What’s even worse is that I told myself to read the label to make sure that I got the right thing. Because earlier, I almost grabed a huge thing of yogurt.

Maximize Me?

When I only used PCs I would always maximize all of my windows. For some reason I couldn’t stand the fact that I could see my desktop or a windows in the background. Something was unsettling about it. But, when I got my PowerBook over a year ago that was all thrown out the window since maximize is a concept that OS X doesn’t know. So, I got used to it on my Mac and just accepted it. But, just now, I caught myself maximizing all of my windows on my work PC because it was driving me crazy, but if I was on my Mac having not all the windws covering up the screen real estate would be just fine. So strange, I don’t get it. What is it about OS X / Windows that makes me want to have my windows not maximized or maximized?

24 Season Finale

Well, my favorite show, 24, has ended it’s fourth season tonight in a somewhat anti-climatic episode. I only say this because the last scene is Jack Bauer, or whatever his new name is, walking off into the sunset. It wouldn’t surprise me to not see him in the next season. But, I’ll leave that up for speculation until the next season actually begins. I mean, look at this season, Tony is back as is President Palmer. So, you really never know what is going to happen in 24.

Overall, I really liked this season. I didn’t watch the third season, so I really don’t know what happens. But, I really should watch the DVD to catch up on it. Maybe it will make season four make more sense? Who knows. The only thing that I know right now is that I’ll have to find a new favorite show on TV until next season starts. I have no idea what that will be, so in the meantime I guess I’ll have to see what the networks come up with for their next round of shows. If worst comes to worst, I’ll just start watching my 24 DVDs.
