How Del.icio.us you are…

I’ve caught the bug. I started using del.icio.us this week. I’ve got to say that it’s addicting. Not quite as addicting as flickr, but I don’t know what is. I mean, really.

For the longest time I never got involved with del.icio.us because it was too tedious for me to put links into it. I didn’t want to go to their interface to enter in links, I wanted something more. Well, this past week I found it. It is an extension for Firefox that posts links right to del.icio.us. Using this extension it is so painless to add links that actually adding links is excitingly addicting.

I haven’t decided how exactly I want to use it, but I know that I will be using it a lot more than I have in the past. So, if you’re curious on what I links I like,be sure to check out my del.icio.us links. I’m sure I’ll have some integration with them on this site somewhere down the line, but that’s for the future.

Amazon Wishlist 0.1

Well, I am proud to announce the release of a plugin that I created last week because I was bored! Oh wow, you’re all so lucky! Yes sir! Today is the initial release of the WordPress Amazon Wishlist plugin! This plugin will allow you to display, from your amazon.com wishlist:

  • A small picture of the item you desire
  • The title of this thing you wish to own, with a link to amazon.com’s product page
  • The date you added it to your wish list
  • A link to your wishlist
  • A count of items on your wish list
  • And, if you like lots of stuff, lots of pages of desirable goodies!

Interested in this for your blog? Well, you’re in luck, you can find out more info by viewing the plugin page. From there you can find more info on how to setup the plugin as well on how to troubleshoot common problems with the plugin. Oh, yea, and with that I present to you my wishlist.

Birthday Weekend

Yesterday was my birthday and what a better way to celebrate than to get sun burned on half of your body! Well, no, I can think of better ways, but I did have a blast with those who came out to Golden Gardens. The potluck was way fun and cool and I think that the concept of a potluck equals win. Now, if only my body would appreciate the sun like Jamie’s does, then I’d be set.

The night before, my parents, Jamie, and myself went out to Oceanaire for dinner. Unlike times in the past when I have been there, the food wasn’t that great. I think it was just my meal, because everybody else seemed to enjoy their meal quite a bit. But, I think I’ll be staying away from seafood for a while.

To make up for the bad food from Saturday night, well, not really, this was planned in advance, we went to Daniel’s Broiler down in Leschi Bay. This night the food was much better and I left feeling much better than I did the night before. So, as usual with Daniel’s, the food was great. Like I was saying during the day yesterday… steak and chocolate. And yes, it was amazing.

So, really, that’s my weekend in a nutshell… a really small one at that. But, I forgot to say that Trevor and I, well, mainly Trevor… I read a Maxim, worked on theinfocrew.net on Saturday. We’re just awaiting some comps from Aaron *cough* *cough* to begin the visual aspect of the site and we hope to have it to you sometime next month.

With not that much said about my weekend… here’s to being 23! Hip Hip Hooray!

theinfocrew.net… a Taste

I’ve been really hesitant to post anything about the info crew site that is currently being developed (I thought you’d all like a surprise), but I thought I’d wet the pallet a little bit with this entry.

Below is one of the cool things that the site does to all of our available online information. It is a heatmap of all our top 50 flickr tags. Well, it will be once you all register, right now it’s only a few of us. It is similar to what flickr does overall, but I made one that will only do it for those of us who use the site. Pretty cool if you ask me.

We’ve also been working on other things, like event planning, rss subscriptions, and extended contact information. But, I don’t want to give too much away. I want to keep some of the cards close to my chest until it initially launches.
