Amazon Wishlist 0.5 Released

Friday, January 20th, 2006

A small update, but a few people have requested the ability to change the size of the image. Well, I’m happy to report that you now have three image sizes to pick from (small, medium, and large). To do this, set the $imgSize variable in the amazon-wishlist.php plug-in before uploading and you’re all set!

Next up on the plate are multiple wishlist support and fixing a bug with sites that do not use a permalink structure.

    Ryan,
    Thanks for the plug-in!

I get the following error when I activate the xmlparser:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xmlparser in /usr/www/htdocs/everythingbetween/wp-content/plugins/xmlparserclass.php on line 20

Can’t figure out why this is for my life!?!? everything else seems to be set up OK: http://everythingbetween.com/index.php/wishlist/

I too am having a problem..followed your install to the letter
But all that I see is this:

Notice the space after first bracket. It apears every time i save the page. Would that be a factor?

Great plugin…Do you plan on implementing multiple wishlists?

I’d like to display my DVD wishlist and my PS2 wish list on my blog pages too.

    Keep up the good work.

    Adrian

    Great, great great.
How would make the list appear inside a post.

  6. Ryan Says...

Currently, you cannot add it within a post.

    Ryan-

I am making the attempt to use your plugin. I have signed up for both an Associates ID and the Amazon API token from their AWS page. I have the plugin loaded, but cannot get it to display anything but “There was a problem building your wish list, please try again later.” My wishlist is at http://www.thinkdreams.com/blog/?page_id=68 if you want to see the error. Everything seems to be in order, and the Amazon ID I have for my wishlist looks OK. Do you have any suggestions as to what to try next?

After much nosing around in the PHP, I ahve come to the conclusion something is amiss with the XML parser. For some reason, it is not returning anything. I checked my wishlist URL as it should be sent from the php, and it returns XML OK with no errors.
    Any suggestions?

After much ado, and a good deal of help from Ryan, I was able to determine that my hosting provider didn’t support cURL, so I was unable to utilize the plugin. I moved over to Dreamhost, and might I say they are very easy to set up. Thanks very much to Ryan for his help.

    Hi Ryan.

I tried your plugin on my site, after i’ve seen it on a lot of other blogs working.
But i can get only a blank page, after a very long loading-procedure.
Nothing else happens, no error, nothing.
Could there be any problem with my wihslist on amazon.DE ?

    Regards, Legolas

    hi Ryan,

I’m having the same problem as Andy:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xmlparser in /usr/www/htdocs/everythingbetween/wp-content/plugins/xmlparserclass.php on line 20

any idea how to fix this?
