Last night Stephanie and Sara had people over to their place in Capitol Hill for a little wine tasting and some Hors-d’-oeuvres’. The night opened up with Anthony’s Chardonnay and then proceeded forward with 3 rounds of various red wines. I can’t really tell you what ones I really liked or not, I wasn’t really keeping track, but I really enjoyed the whole night. It was just nice to relax, talk, eat some good food, and be among friends.
I have to give it up for Stephanie and Sara. They had the event timed and prepared with such precision that it was amazing. Like, for example, the schedule:
7:15pm
Open Bar: (Whites Only) [Anthony's Chardonnay]
7:45
Round One: Merlot (served with appetizers)
Washington Merlot vs.French Merlot-based Wine
8:00
Open Bar: Reds (except Shiraz/Syrah) [CA's Chianti]
8:30
Round Two: Cabernet Sauvinaugn (served with appetizers)
Washington Cabernet vs. Chilean Cabernet
8:45
Open Bar: Reds (All)
9:15pm
Round Three: Syrah/Shiraz (served with appetizers)
Washington Syrah vs. Australian Shiraz
9:45pm
Desert: Cake!!!!!
Yeah, hardcore man. Scheduled like a champ.
There had to have been about 30 people there and they did an awesome job. So, to them I say, “Great Work!” This event was also a little going away/birthday party since Stephanie will be going off to school in California come the fall. Sadly, the night was too much fun and I didn’t take any pictures. If you are all lucky, you might be able to get some off of C.A. But, we’ll have to wait and see.
2005 is offically here! This year will be a big year for me. There are a lot of things that I don’t know right now and it will be interesting to see where I am on this day in 2006. But, I have a lot of life to live until then. So, I’ll worry about the future when I need to, but now I’m thinking “Happy 2005!”
Cheers!
Well, Christmas has arrived! The family celebrations are in full swing and tonight I’ll have the last bit of family celebration for the holidays. I hope that all of your celebrations of Christmas are going well! Mine are going great! I might have some pictures up in the gallery later, but I really don’t know. So, until then… I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Jules, the pictures are here.
Last night I had a few friends over to celebrate what I liked to call “A Very INFO Christmas.” It was just a little gathering of friends for some food, gifts, and good times. A good way to start the break if you ask me. Read more…
Yesterday was the last day of class for the Informatics folks as an entire cohort. It was kind of weird to know that INFO 370 would be the last class that we all will take together. *tear* But, have no fear! We went out to celebrate such a momentous occasion by going to Red Robin… or so we thought. Read more…
Last night, after running some errands with Jamie at Northgate, we headed over to Anthony’s place to just hang out and have a few drinks. It just so happened that Jamie and I had bought some wine that night when we were at QFC, so we brought that along as well. Also, since we were a little hungry, Trevor brought the cheese and crackers. A winning combination if you ask me. Read more…
Man, I love it when Thanksgiving comes around. It is just the beginning of the holiday season and that means good food and good times.
Tonight I headed over my mom’s sister’s house for dinner. The food was great and I am beyond stuffed. It is also a time to be thankful for the things in my life. I am thankful for a lot and it just just beyond my comprehension.
I also took the day off from doing any work for school. I just didn’t want to worry about it today and after talking to Anthony I decided I wouldn’t do any. So, tomorrow is my work day. Now, I’m off to continue roaming my parent’s place in my lethargic state.
