Just Another Day at the Office

Well, today was one of those days where a bunch of little incidents really added up to something interesting. The day started off by Trevor letting me know that I wouldn’t be carpooling with him today. Well, I kind of expected that since he was under the weather the past couple days. But, I wished him well and then fell back asleep. Then, on my drive to work, there was hardly any traffic. I think that was to make up for what was to come later that evening. Laziness

It’s kind of strange how the use of my free time has changed since I started working in April. When I was still in school, my free time was used to do anything that my mind could think of. I hardly spent a lot of time at home, let alone doing nothing. For some reason, now that I am working, I don’t do much when I get home. I’m uber lazy and seem to be really good at doing a lot of nothing. Continue reading “Laziness”

How Del.icio.us you are…

I’ve caught the bug. I started using del.icio.us this week. I’ve got to say that it’s addicting. Not quite as addicting as flickr, but I don’t know what is. I mean, really.

For the longest time I never got involved with del.icio.us because it was too tedious for me to put links into it. I didn’t want to go to their interface to enter in links, I wanted something more. Well, this past week I found it. It is an extension for Firefox that posts links right to del.icio.us. Using this extension it is so painless to add links that actually adding links is excitingly addicting.

I haven’t decided how exactly I want to use it, but I know that I will be using it a lot more than I have in the past. So, if you’re curious on what I links I like,be sure to check out my del.icio.us links. I’m sure I’ll have some integration with them on this site somewhere down the line, but that’s for the future.

It’s Been a Week

To say the least, this week has been busy. This past week at work I’ve spent the majority of my time testing our new build of our app. It’s coming along pretty nice, but I have to play the pessimist and say this, “man, it has a long road a head of it and it is in terrible shape now.” But, really, it’s pretty cool to see it all come together.

In addition to that, almost every one of my nights this week there has been something else that I was doing to occupy my time. It is not that I am complaining about this, well… a little, but I like to just relax. I mean, ask Jamie, she’ll tell you I’m uber lazy.

But, tomorrow I get to paint and then after that I get a day off. I’m sure I’ll code for that not-super-secret-almost-completed-info-crew-website on Sunday, but we’ll have to wait and see. I am thinking that I might since we are sooo close to being done with it. There are only a few things left with it that need to be ironed out. I just hope that those who get to use it, like it.

Lastly, you know when you talk to an old friend, or one you consider a friend, and it’s just really awkward… yea, I don’t like that. I just want to know what’s up and how things are going, but instead it just seems strange. Good thing I’ve let go and don’t expect too much.

See News. London.

With those three words displayed on my phone from Jamie, I knew something was bad. I instantly thought of a bombing, something as bad as what happended to the Twin Towers. Luckily, and it’s hard to say luckily considering what happened, it was much smaller. However, I can’t help but think what brought this upon London. Is it their alliance with us in the war on terror, the war in Iraq, winning of the 2012 Olympic bid, or was it something else? Any way you cut it, there doesn’t need to be a reason. This is terrorism and those who sponsor it deserve no remorse. Not from me, my country, or any of those who despise of it.

My iPod is Limping

I think my iPod is on its last legs. I have had it for around 3+ years now and I think it has served its useful life. Day by day it is playing music, but only out of one ear. So, slowly I am going deaf in only one ear. I guess that’s a good thing, right?

The hard drive in it appears to be working just fine and I’ll probably use it to backup my photos or something, but the sound it outputs is really starting to drive me mad. The headphone jack is all screwed up. I have to fiddle with it to get sound out of both ears, but sustaining that is nothing short of a challenge. Now, the probelm is that I just got a new camera… so I might have to wait a while for this little guy.

I guess until then I’ll just alternate ears every day. That way I’ll go deaf evenly.

24 Season Finale

Well, my favorite show, 24, has ended it’s fourth season tonight in a somewhat anti-climatic episode. I only say this because the last scene is Jack Bauer, or whatever his new name is, walking off into the sunset. It wouldn’t surprise me to not see him in the next season. But, I’ll leave that up for speculation until the next season actually begins. I mean, look at this season, Tony is back as is President Palmer. So, you really never know what is going to happen in 24.

Overall, I really liked this season. I didn’t watch the third season, so I really don’t know what happens. But, I really should watch the DVD to catch up on it. Maybe it will make season four make more sense? Who knows. The only thing that I know right now is that I’ll have to find a new favorite show on TV until next season starts. I have no idea what that will be, so in the meantime I guess I’ll have to see what the networks come up with for their next round of shows. If worst comes to worst, I’ll just start watching my 24 DVDs.
