Mmm Update

Well, it’s almost been a week. Guess I’ve been sidetracked with school and work. But, stuff has been going on, just nothing noteworthy to write about.

Capstone is going along smoothly, classes are just fine, work is… work, and I’m still looking for a job. So, it is pretty much the same stuff as usual for me. Except, last night we went out and celebrated Anthony’s Birthday at P.F. Chang’s in Downtown Seattle. I had not been there in quite a while, but the food was still pretty good. I’d show you pictures, but I don’t have any. Expect Jamie to post some though, she took a few from dinner.

Hmm, I just don’t know what else to write about. My brain is dead from such a long week. Plus, I’m at work and that doesn’t exactly spark any motivated writing. Guess more might come later… or will it?

Anatomy of a Christmas Gift

Just a little over two weeks ago many of us celebrated the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day. Over time, this has involved exchanging gifts between family, friends, those you love. This was no different for myself. But, the one thing that I do not like is exchanging gifts. I am terrible at thinking what to get people. But, what follows is how I came up with the gift for one Jamie Yaptinchay. Continue reading “Anatomy of a Christmas Gift”

Driving Nice

Yesterday I made the 80 minute trek to University of Wisconsin – Stout to pickup my brother Paul. When I left home to head over I was going to listen to my iPod. But, it died–I forgot to charge it. Great. So, instead I listened to the local classic rock station KQRS. They were doing this thing where they are playing their entire catalog of music alphabetically. All I heard both ways, for five hours, was the letter L. But, there are some pretty cool songs in the letter L. Continue reading “Driving Nice”

Heading Home

It is hard to believe that I am already heading home. It has been a whirlwind past few days and I am realizing that finding downtime, even when on break, is tough to do. I tried avoiding my e-mail for a day to give myself a much needed break. Well, that worked for that day. But, then yesterday it was IUGA and 370 that commanded the majority of my attention for the afternoon and evening. Continue reading “Heading Home”

Fear of E-Mail

Yesterday was the first time in a long time where I intentionally avoided my e-mail. Even as I write this I am trying to not pay attention to my e-mail.

I usually don’t feel like this, but I just fear checking my e-mail right now. It usually just means more work for me and I don’t want to deal with it. But, today I opened it and I didn’t even want to look at it. I just didn’t. Maybe when I get back to Seattle things will be different. I hope.

A Break For Turkey Day

It is cold here in Minnesota, but it is a welcomed cold. I don’t think that I’ll change my body clock for the three days. But, that is ok. I get to sleep in. Ah… Yes, finally a little break. Er, that is until I start Assignment 2 for 370. Argh. Ok, enough randomness. Bye.
