My Mood Today
I thought it was interesting to see my mood and how it relates to what music I was listening to at the time. I’ll show you what I mean.
8am – Third Eye Blind (Happy)
3pm – Muse (Happy to be heading home)
5pm – Rage Against the Machine (Mood took a turn south)
7pm – Radiohead (Begin mood recovery)
9pm – Led Zeppelin (Starting to mellow)
10pm – Michelle Branch (Mellow reached)
Yeah, ok, get over the fact that I listen to Michelle Branch and see how it peaks with Rage Against the Machine and mellows after that. So, you can figure out when I was the most upset today.
Why was I upset? You can figure that out on your own. It is probably not the first thing that comes to your mind either; maybe it is the second. Oooh, I am so trixy like that.
IM and the Social Aspect
Sitting here at work today I figured that I would be productive and get some stuff done. I sent some emails, then I began to read an article about IM use and social interaction for one of my classes.
The article was so simplistic that I wanted to cry while reading it. Maybe because I have been using IM for around 8 years now in various forms (AIM, MSN, IRC, etc…) that I saw it as such. Hands.. So.. Cold..
It is so cold in the Micro Lab that I am using the heat from my laptop to warm my hands. This is so sad. Do I really need to have gloves on in here? I mean, damn. I should keep typing since that keeps my hands warm, but I have nothing else to say except that my hands are frickin’ freezing!
Use A9, Get A Discount
Today I was making a purchase on amazon.com and I noticed at the bottom of my purchase a new item that I did not notice before.
I thought that was pretty cool. So, if you make at least one search on A9.com while logged into your amazon.com account you will see an estimated discount applied to your next order (explained). Pretty cool if you ask me.
Oh, yeah, to be nerdy they made the discount π/2% (1.57%).
Web Sphere
Sitting here at work leaves me a lot of time to surf the net. I find myself surfing the same sites, or same types of sites, every single day. Tech news, real news, blogs, weather, etc.. Many of them are updated daily so the content is always new. What I am wondering is, what sites do you frequent? I am looking to expand my web viewing horizon but I seem to be in a rut. del.icio.us has helped out a bit with this, but I am still looking for something… anything.
