Golfing with a k00n

Today I had the pleasure to go to the UW driving range with my friend Stephen.

It was a glorious day outside. The skies were grey and the rain was coming and going with the swings of our clubs. During our time at the driving range we talked about our relationships with our respective ladies, school, and life, among other things. It was simply joyous to talk to such a bright young man!

Going to the range reminded me how much golf I have not been playing in the past years and how much I used to play after my freshman summer in college. I guess that was the perk of having a membership at a pretty decent course.

After the range we headed back to my place where we stared at each other with amazement as we viewed the surroundings. It was simply a sight for the ages!

Now I am sitting here at my desk, in my chair of all places, reflecting on how I ate too much for dinner and would not be able to swing a golf club if my life depended on it.

Google Finds Me

Over the past month I have been tracking stats on this blog with a program called bbclone to see where people are coming from, how long they stay, and what they are looking at. It is interesting to see what they look at, but what I find more interesting is what people search for to find me. Now, all of the search terms that I list require a search on google and I’ll only list the ones where I am listed in the first ten results.

So, some of them are pretty reasonable on why they would get my site as a result. However, some are a little odd. The one that really gets me is the “greenlake rape” search query. I understand the greenlake part, but not the rape part. Oh well, guess that is the beauty of search engines.

Thursday Night At Alki

Tonight it was happy hour at Bamboo Grill on Alki with Jamie, Kathryn, and Anthony. The food was actually pretty good and not to expensive either. I would go back to that place again, if the transportation was around to get me there. But, the view was pretty cool from outside the eatery. Hopefully I’ll be back there again before the summer is over.

Then it was off to screwing around on the beach for a bit (see Jamie’s Blog for other pics) followed up with bubble tea for Kathryn and Jamie and more screwing around on the waterfront. Overall it was a good way to kill 3 hours on a night before a final exam. Speaking of which… I should maybe study? Nah.

Below are some pictures off of my camrea phone from this pre/post test diversion. Continue reading “Thursday Night At Alki”

One Test Down

I just finished my Music 117 test and I think it went pretty well. I mean, when the teacher says, “You don’t owe me anything for making this so easy,” you know you are bound to do well. I am shooting for the 4.0 in that class and I just hope that I didn’t mess up the scales to take that away from me. In either case it is now time to get ready for Scandinavian. Hopefully I get a little studying tonight, either before or after happy hour in West Seattle with Kat, Jamie, and Trotter.

Nostalgia Trip

Currently I am having this feeling of sadness. Why? Well, I am usually home over the summer and last week was camp. I always looked forward to working at camp and this summer was the first in the last three that I have not worked at camp or attended. I always looked forward to working at camp. I got to see old friends again and they paid me to play and hang out with them for an entire week. What I really miss is what happens after camp. All of my friends, old and new, begin to hang out again. I am missing that, but am I? Continue reading “Nostalgia Trip”

Chilling at Greenlake

Yesterday was pretty chill. After class I came home and relaxed for the better part of the afternoon. I really can’t tell you what I did. Not because I don’t want to tell you, I just don’t remember. After Jamie got off of work it was off to Northgate to cash in on 25 free digital prints from Target and dinner at the Olive Garden. Then, Jamie and I ventured to Greenlake for some relaxation.
